Geographic of Nepal



­Nepal is in the southeast part of Asia. It lies in the equatorial belt. It occupies 147181 sq. km of land. It occupies 0.3 % of land of Asia and 0.03 % of the total land of the earth. It is the landlocked country between two big countries ie India and China. It is in the 800 4 east longitude and 880 12’ east longitude  and  260 22’ north latitude and 300 27’. Nepal is 22 times smaller than India and 65 times smaller than China. Nepal is 1126 km far from the ocean and 550 km from tha Bay of Bengal. Nepal length from east to east to west is 885 km and from north to south 193 km. Nepal is divided geographically into three region ie Terai, Hilly and Himalayan. Terai is in the southern part of Nepal,  Himalayan is in the northern part of Nepal and Hilly is between them.  Nepal is in the height of 60 m to 8848 m from the sea level. Nepal is also known as the country of himalayan.
