Division of Nepal



Nepal is divided into many parts according to the distribution. Nepal is divided into three geographical region . They are Terai, Hilly and Himalayan. According to development region it is divided into five region. They  are Eastern development region, Central development region, Western devlopment region, Mid western development region and Far western development region. Mid western is the biggest  and Far western is the smallest development region in the Nepal.  Nepal is diveded into 14 zones and 75 districts.Mechi, Koshi, Sagarmatha, Janakpur, Bagmati, Gandaki, Narayani,  Lumbini, Dhaulagiri, Karnali, , Seti, Bheri,  Rapti, Mahakali are the 14 zones of the Nepal. Karnali is the biggest  whereas  Mahakali is the smallest zone of the . Dolpa is the biggest  and the bhatkapur is  the smallest districts if the Nepal. Amazing facts is that Mahakali is smaller than Dolpa districts. There are 3,919 Village Development committee (V.D.C),  58 municipality, 4 Sub Metropolitan city and 1 Metropolitan city according to 2058 B.S. Kathamndu is the one only metropolitan city and Biratnagar, Lalitpur, Pokhara, Birgunj  are the Sub metropolitan city of the Nepal.
